It was an experience to try, but the stay is not worth a repeat. Overall, this was a decent stay – nowhere worth the cash value of the night, but for 20,000 SPG it doesn’t seem too bad (even though you’d have to shell out another ~$100 for parking and resort fee). Next time I will be sure to check out the pool. We saw a variety of people, from businesspeople to families, people here on corporate events, or romantic getaways for couples.įor a hotel of this size, I felt the fitness room was quite small, however adequately furnished. We definitely felt out of place among the sea of rich (white) people, and wealthy looking Asians. Of course, for the caliber of people who stay here, these miscellaneous fees are of no concern. Of this we only used the check-in wine, internet, and fitness center.

Services and amenities included in the resort fee are: The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay implements a $35 USD per room, per night resort fee. Note that this does not include valet parking ($49 for overnight guests) or resort fee ($35/night) which covers the below: This screams wealth – no surprise, at a base cost of high $600s to $800-$900s. Fortunately, I was able to be upgraded – but only to a “fire pit” room, rather than a suite. I previously tried to call and inquire about hotel upgrades, as a SPG/Marriott Platinum, but Ritz Carlton properties make it quite difficult. We were greeted with a smile and complimentary glass of wine provided by the hotel partners. Check in is down the hall on the left, with rooms being the opposite direction. It was a smooth process – although the quantity of cars makes for slow parking/retrieving sometimes.
Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay is located far away from “downtown” Half Moon Bay, and I was able to surprise my lady as we pulled up to the guard gate.
